Roots: Enlightened Static Sites
I’m finally trying roots.cx tonight. I like it. I like the additional flexibility over harp.js, which, like Jade, is saddled by it’s self-imposed limitations.
Roots works “out of the box”, but also allows me to change the templating language. I added support for slm to my roots installation (technically, I added it to the accord installation which roots depends on), and it works smoothly.

Corporate
The company behind roots has several other roots components in its repositories.
I had trouble with partials recompiling, but then the rendered output using the cached version. Part of this issue is already covered in a roots PR, and in any case, the problem was solved by disabling cache.
I’m pretty sure that I’m retiring Harp, the static web server with built-in preprocessing in favor of Roots: Enlightened Static Sites.
